"Milan, will always be the place that gave me the freedom to become a more independent and mature person."
Name: Gabriella
My home town: Perth, Australia
Period in Milan: A.Y. 2011/2012
My favorite place in Milan: There are so many beautiful places to visit in Milan but my favorite area by far would have to be Navigli. This area is perfect for an 'aperitivo,'shopping, gelato or to simply walk around and relax
My favorite food: If I had to choose just one Milanese treat that I love it would have to be the rose and white chocolate flavored gelato ('Rosa al cioccolato bianco croccante') from gelateria 'Cioccolati Italiani'
My abiding memory of Italy: For me, Italy, or more specifically Milan, will always be the place that gave me the freedom to become a more independent and mature person. However,it has also taught me to enjoy myself on a day-to-day basis whether it be going for lunch, visiting museums, getting a coffee with friends or just simply sitting in a park and reading. These are not just 'memories' I have of Italy, but rather aspects of the Italian lifestyle that I hope to incorporate in my own life no matter where I am in the world.
